Built in the 1870s, this building once a poor farm and held prisoners accused of theft, violence, and even murder, while the sheriff and his family lived just steps away. Within these walls linger decades of fear, tension, and untold stories from Ray County’s past.

Today, it stands as the Ray County Museum with 37 rooms. But when the lights go out, some believe the history here doesn’t rest.
